February Favorites

WOW! I can’t believe that it is already the end of February. That went by so fast. I have been extremely busy with school this month because I had my midterm week and all my classes announced a final paper. So, I have not purchased that much this month. I went to the drug store once, I got my hair done, got those boots online on a good boots sale and the sweater is from H&M. I have really been into writing this month so a personal essay may be coming soon.

Beauty

| 1 | L’Oréal Infallible Series

– Pro-Spray & Set Makeup Extender Setting Spray

– Pro-Matte Foundation (Mine is in Classic Ivory)

– Pro-Matte Powder (Mine is in Porcelain)

I usually don’t buy drug store products because my skins is super sensitive and oily, so my face and drug store products always become an issue.. but this line is amazing. It is definitely high quality, the setting spray, the foundation and the powder is as good as my high end products. Would definitely re-purchase.

Skin Care

| 2 | Aveda

– Botanical Kinetics Energizing Eye Cream

– Hand Relief Moisturizing Cream

This is a high end product but it is so worth it. I got them at my local hair salon that I go to. The eye cream I just got a few days ago so I will let you know how it is, but I can already tell so far so good. The hand cream on the other hand I have used every single day this month. It is so worth it if you have dry hands from the winter. It is perfection, I can not say enough good things about this hand cream.

Apparel

| 3 | Boohoo – Pointed Chelsea Boots

Chelsea boots are my favorite style of boots and I have been wanted one with a pointed toe. I received an email that there was a sale on shoes on boohoo. I got them. Love them. So Much. Wear them all the time.

| 4 | H&M+ V-Neck Sweater

I saw this sweater on tumblr last month and had to find it. It is H&M+ so it was perfect for me. It is such a classic sweater and so big and comfy.

Music

I did not buy the actual cd yet, but I got it on iTunes.. Reflection by Fifth Harmony!! This album is so fun, that is the only way that I can describe it. Every single song I want to dance around my room and pretend that it’s now Sixth Harmony because I obviously think I have joined the group.

Another album that came out recently was Leave Your Love – EP by Tyler Carter. I love it so much. Love him so much.

Also, I went to a Chris Brown and Trey Songz concert this past weekend so I have been listening to them non-stop.

January Favorites

This month I went back to college after the longest break ever, from May to December, and had time to explore the world and myself. But now finally in January it was time to get back into the groove of things and finish my college degree. I would be lying to myself and everyone else if I did not admit that getting back to a normal routine was very difficult. With stress comes retail therapy, so here are my favorites from the month.

Also, I will be on a schedule with posting now. There will be a new post at least once a week, every Sunday, and maybe if I am feeling inspired twice a week. Oh, and of course my monthly favorites the last day of each month.

Apparel

| 1 |  Steve Madden – Rumi Boots – White

I love black boots so much, so why not get them in white. I can not wait to wear these with either tights and a dress or with light wash jeans in the summer.

Beauty

| 2 | MAC – Viva Glam – Miley Cyrus

I can’t rave enough about this color, when I put the lipstick and the gloss on for the first time I was almost in tears! It is the perfect pink color.

Stationary

| 3 | Kate Spade – Little Gold Book

Saw it, thought it was too cute, needed to have it. Notebooks are never a waste for me, I am always writing or doodling something.

Book

| 4 | Lena Dunham – Not That Kind of Girl

I am obsessed with Lena Dunham. She is perfect. That is all I have to say. Read it!

Music

| 5 |  Fall Out Boy – American Beauty / American Psycho

I’m not going to lie, I did not have a countdown set for this album. I heard it was coming out and was not super excited but as soon as I picked it up I did not take it out of my cd player. I didn’t think anything would top Save Rock and Roll for me because I was in love with that album but I enjoy this album very much. My personal favorites after listening to the album a few times are Irresistible, The Kids Aren’t All Right & Novocaine but I am sure that will change the more I listen to the album.

Tea

| 6 | Twinings – Pure Camomile

So calming, it has been the perfect tea for this month.

Songs

Both of these songs I discovered this month and have been stuck in my head ever since I heard them for the first time.

| + | James Bay – Let It Go

I heard this song for the first time on Sirius Coffee House Station. I instantly fell in love with it and searched for it. Then suddenly I saw him popping up everywhere, a show in NYC, at the Burberry Fashion Show and opening for Taylor Swift on the European leg of the tour (ugh wish it was in America).

| + | Shura – Touch

I was watching YouTube videos and came across this video. Love the video, fell in love with the song instantly. Wish it was on iTunes in America. Can’t get it out of my head.
