It’s no secret that that BECCA Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed is my favorite makeup product ever. Hilighters are my favorite makeup product, and the formula of the BECCA Pressed Powder is my favorite formula of any makeup product that I have used so far. So put those two things together and we have my favorite product on the market right now. So to hear that they were coming out with a holiday pallet with a new shade and two limited edition shades made me beyond excited. All of the shades are gorgeous and unique. The new shade Pearl may be my new favorite shade, I am very pale so I was happy to see a stark white shade. It will be perfect for the holiday season, just looking at the shade and swatching it instantly reminds me of an Ice Princesses. I want to buy a full powder of this but then only have it in the Poured version right now. Champaign Pop, the limited edition shade that Jaclyn Hill created is the perfect shade for all skin tones. I wrote a post about it when it came out here. Blushed Copper, the other limited edition shade is gorgeous. Being a very pale girl I can not wear this as a hilighter, it will look beautiful on darker skin tones, but I will definitely wear this shade as an eyeshadow. I am very happy with this pallet and I think it would be a perfect gift for any makeup lover for the holiday season. Get them quick before they run out, it is a limited edition pallet.

I thought I should share my recent boots purchase. I am a boots girl, I wear them year round so obviously I love boots season. I purchased two black pointed toe, one with a heel and one without (had to replace my old pair because they were falling apart). Unfortunately the one without the heel doesn’t fit me and I have to return and get a bigger size.

NYC Lookbook

This past weekend I was in the city two days in a row. Saturday I took my best friends (who are sisters) to the city for their birthday. We walked all throughout Central Park, Strawberry Fields, Bethesda Fountain and the Alice in Wonderland statue were the main attractions. Then we went to a lovely lunch at Rue 57, one of my favorite restaurants. Of course then we went shopping, Zara and Topshop.

Then I went back on Sunday with my parents, they are going to be on vacation here for a week and I came to visit. We went out to dinner at my all time favorite restaurant Redeye Grill.

Recently I have been obsessed with the luminous glow and strobing trend. I heard many good things about the L’oréal Magic Lumi Primer, so I decided to try it out myself. When I picked this up I also got the Highlighter (my shade is Ice). I quickly fell in love with these product. I love the look of these products when I use them with nothing else on my face. If I want to go out of the house without a full face of makeup, I will put them on. The primer gives the skin such a natural glow and the highlighter gives definition. These products with mascara gives the skin such a natural clean glowing look, no one will know you have makeup on. And at a drugstore price, what’s better than that?

I am not much of a bronzer girl, I am very pale and never had a use for bronzer in my makeup collection. But, I love this bronzer (I mean personally don’t use it as a bronzer) but I love this product. I use it more as a contour because it is a matte shade. Also, of course the smell, it smells so good (like chocolate) when you open it, the smell doesn’t stay on the face so no worries you won’t go around smelling like chocolate.
