This product was part of MAC’s Giambattista Valli Collection. The lipsticks in this collection sold out very fast, but that was okay because I was more interested in this product. MAC’s website said that is was a gloss that can transform any lip color to have a pearlescent finish. This is such a unique product and I am very glad that I picked it up.

July Favorites

July was surprisingly such a good month for me. First off, I started trying to get a blog post out every weekday. It is hard, but I am loving it so much! The next big thing that has been happening in July is that since I am on summer vacation I came up with a very strict schedule for the day that I have been trying to stay on and I absolutely love it! I might write a blog post on how to come up with a strict schedule that fits your lifestyle. It completely changed my summer. I have quite a lot to talk about because a lot of my favorites of the month are events, so let’t get to it!

This is one of my favorite YouTubers Manny’s collaboration with Gerard Cosmetics. Love love love this!! Not only is it the perfect shade, it applies so easily, dries matte and actually stays on your lips for a long time.

From one extreme to another, here are two foundations that are perfect for the summer. One is extremely lightweight and one is full coverage and will not move off your face.

Studio Face and Body Foundation

This is a completely lightweight foundation, it reminds me of my tinted moisturizers. It is water based giving you a very natural satin finish. It feels like nothing is on your face at all. I have been wearing it all summer.

Pro Longwear Nourishing Waterproof Foundation

This is the complete opposite, this is a very full coverage. I wore this for a few sunny outdoor long day sweaty concerts and it did not move off my face. It really is waterproof and very full coverage. It says it lasts for 24 hours, I did’t wear it quite that long but I could easily believe that.

The white pair are my favorite, I love them. These Vans come in so many different colors. I also love other styles of Vans, but for me, nothing tops these.

About a month ago there was a Sephora 500 point gift from Laura Mercier. I love this brand, between Laura Mercier and MAC it is basically all I use. The box had five items in it and I only had used two out of the five products before, the tinted moisture and the lip gloss. So, I got to try out three new products that I will absolutely be repurchasing.

1. Flawless Skin Face Polish

This is my favorite out of the five, I love skin care products. It cleanses and exfoliates your skin, I love the way it feels, like you are really getting a good clean base for your face. I am absolutely going to purchase this in the full size.

2. Foundation Primer – Radiance Bronze

This is perfect for the summer. It comes out of the bottle very dark but once you work in a small amount on your face it leaves your face with a bronzed glow.

3. Tinted Moisturizer – Nude

I already had this product and my normal shade is Porcelain, but since it is summer and I am tan, the Nude matches my skin tone right now.

4. Matte Radiance Baked Powder – Bronze – 03

I really like this powder because it leaves a radiant finish. This is a very dark shade for me so I use a small amount as a contour.

5. Lip Glace – Nectar

I had a Lip Glace before and I loved it because of the smell, and this has the same smell. Also, I am in love with this color for the summer. I plan to purchase this shade in the full size as well.

Companies Showing Their Support

Some major companies are showing support to the LGBT community.

LUSH

The company LUSH which makes fresh handmade cosmetics, made a sparkly gold and beautiful smelling bar of soap. Lush’s website says that it helps out the LGBT community and the campaign group All Out because money from your purchase funds grassroots campaign groups around the world. Lush encourages you to take a selfie with your bar of soap and post it on social media with #GayIsOk to raise awareness.

American Apparel collaborated with Human Rights Campaign and came out with a Pride Tee. They come in short sleeve and tank top, and they are either black or white with the red equal sign.

It has been two weeks since the Supreme Court voted in favor of marriage equality in the United States. There is still a very long way to go until the entire world is equal, but these are two companies that are raising awareness.

Burberry Makeup

Burberry is my favorite brand, I love the style and everything about it. So I figured that I would try some of their makeup. For the lips I tried a classic red. I love the way the lipstick feels on the lips and the lip gloss is so pigmented and smells so good. I also wanted to try the fresh glow. I love this for the summer because it gives your face a perfect glow. You can either put it on before your foundation or mix it in with your foundation, and it comes in two colors.

June Favorites

WOW! June has been absolutely crazy. It has been nonstop between me ending my semester this past week and going to family gatherings (always a lot in June every year). I am finally on summer vacation and don’t go back again until October, so besides reading as many books as I can and watching Game Of Thrones, I will be posting as much more often.

Sephora Collection – Face Masks

These have been a life saver this month. The end of the semester is always hard and stressful and it is very important not to forget about your skin. They are so relaxing and cooling for the face. I am attempting to try all of the types.

H&M – Flared Skirt

This is the perfect summer skirt, perfect length and so flowly. It won’t stick to your skin and the color is very much in trend.

Banana Republic

I go to school near a Banana Republic outlet, and during one of my breaks I finally went there and fell in love with the store. They were having a huge sale and I picked up a few things. This black v-neck shirt is perfect for me because it has a thick material and feels so comfortable. If you have never been to Banana Republic you should definitely go and check it out.

Hair Care

Bumble & Bumble – Surf Spray

It’s offically summer! For me that means beach waves and there is no better way to get it naturally. I love that it comes in two sizes. I first got the small size to see if I liked it, and I did, so then I got the full size. The small one will go on vacations with me.

Music

Tori Kelly – Unbreakable Smile

I first discovered Tori Kelly when she opened for Ed Sheeran at Madison Square Garden in 2013. I loved her music ever since. I was so happy to see that she was finally coming out with a full length album. I love this album so much, she writes about real things and I love her lyrics.

Concert

I went to see Imagine Dragons and Halsey opened up. It was a last minute concert. I went because of Halsey (my new obsession, so I had to go see her even if she was just going to play six songs) but then fell in love with Imagine Dragons. They are some of the best performers I have ever seen and I can’t wait to see them play again.

Well, here it is! The product everyone has been talking about. I now know why everyone has been talking about it. I have fallen in love with this foundation. It’s description says it is for all skin types (I have normal to oily skin) hydrating silky texture and buildable coverage and that is exactly what it is. I will not lie the first time I put it on I hated it but that is because I was not used to this type of texture in a foundation, I usually wear fully matte. The second time I used it, I applied it carefully and let it sink in and instantly I saw a difference. I now love it and find myself only using this foundation every morning. I am currently trying different combinations with and without primers. Right now I am loving the Rimmel Stay Matte Primer with it, who would have thought a drugstore primer paired with a high end foundation.

If you have seen this talked about as much as I have. I just made the plunge to buy it, you should too! I don’t want to get addicted to such a high end foundation, but that might be what’s going to happen.
