NYC Lookbook

This past weekend I was in the city two days in a row. Saturday I took my best friends (who are sisters) to the city for their birthday. We walked all throughout Central Park, Strawberry Fields, Bethesda Fountain and the Alice in Wonderland statue were the main attractions. Then we went to a lovely lunch at Rue 57, one of my favorite restaurants. Of course then we went shopping, Zara and Topshop.

Then I went back on Sunday with my parents, they are going to be on vacation here for a week and I came to visit. We went out to dinner at my all time favorite restaurant Redeye Grill.

Recently I have been obsessed with the luminous glow and strobing trend. I heard many good things about the L’oréal Magic Lumi Primer, so I decided to try it out myself. When I picked this up I also got the Highlighter (my shade is Ice). I quickly fell in love with these product. I love the look of these products when I use them with nothing else on my face. If I want to go out of the house without a full face of makeup, I will put them on. The primer gives the skin such a natural glow and the highlighter gives definition. These products with mascara gives the skin such a natural clean glowing look, no one will know you have makeup on. And at a drugstore price, what’s better than that?

September Favorites

September was such a bittersweet month for me. It was so beyond amazing because I had a majority of my concerts for the year happened in September. Then on the other hand it was sad because now they are all over and I started school again this week. But, I am excited to start school again and be back on my school schedule.

I have a very unhealthy sunglasses obsession. I saw these and I don’t think I have ever loved a pair of sunglasses more.

Makeup

Too Faced – Soleil Matte Bronzer – Milk Chocolate

I really like this bronzer because I am very pale and this is a perfect light shade to bronze and contour with for a pale person.

MAC – Strobe Cream

Love this cream, gives the face a glow that you wont get from any other product.

Events

This month was filled with concerts! I got to see 5 Seconds of Summer, One Direction, Ed Sheeran and my favorite band The Maine. All of them are some of my all time favorite artists to see live. Still can’t believe I got to see them all in a time span of one month, the post concert depression is real.

There is a reason MAC is my favorite brand, I am never disappointed with the products they release. I am completely obsessed with this new foundation that they just released. As soon as you put it on your skin you immediately feel that it is so creamy and feels so moisturizing. It skinks into the skin very well and it looks like the foundation is not even there and leaves beautiful natural glow to the skin. This foundation is definitely in trend for the “strobing” “glowing” and “natural look” makeup that is happening at the moment. Everyone who loves a natural light look for foundation needs to get their hands on this foundation. This bottle is also very nice with a easy to use eye-dropper feature. (My shade is NW13)

A month ago I wrote a post here about a 500 point Sephora gift that I got. I ended up loving many things from that box. One of them was the Radiance Bronze Primer. I started to use this in my everyday routine, so I purchased a full bottle. Then this past week I saw the Face Illuminator Powder (which is a limited edition product) and fell in love with that, it is a beautiful hilighter. So, both of these products inspired me to do a “Bronze Summer Glow” post because that is exactly what you get when you use these together. For me, I think the best way to use these products is with my Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer because it has the most natural and lightweight summer look. But, I also use it with my normal foundation as well and it still works.

One of my favorite YouTubers Manny created a beautiful shade with Gerard Cosmetics called Serenity. Not only is this a beautiful shade, the formula of this product is absolute perfection. It applies on the lips very easy and creamy, thick and opaque. Then it takes a second to dry and then it looks perfect, and stay on the lips for a very long time. I will definitely be getting this product in different colors.

Make Up Forever came out with 10 primers, some of them are for the texture of the skin and some are for the tone. The one that I decided to try out is the mattifying primer. This stuff feels like glue on the face. It is so mattifying. I do like this product for under my foundation, but I like it more by itself. I have oily skin, so when I don’t put on makeup I like to put this on for a flawless look.
